Hadith 24927
٢٤٩٢٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا عيسى بن يونس عن صالح بن أبي (الأخضر) (١) عن الوليد بن (٢) هشام عن مالك بن عبد اللَّه الخثعمي قال: كنا جلوسًا عند عثمان فقال: من ها هنا من أهل الشام؟ فقمت فقال: أبلغ معاوية إذا غنم غنيمة أن يأخذ خمسة أسهم، فليكتب على كل سهم منها للَّه ثم ليقرع، فحيث ما خرج منها فليأخذه (٣).
Hazrat Malik bin Abdullah narrates that we were in the service of Hazrat Uthman. He said, "Is there anyone here from among the people of Syria?" I stood up. He said, "Convey this message to Hazrat Muawiyah: When the spoils of war arrive, separate them into five parts. Then, from these, write on one part that this is for Allah. Then draw lots, and whichever comes out, take that."
