Hadith 24678
٢٤٦٧٨ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا حسين بن علي عن (زائدة) (١) عن سماك عن حنش عن علي قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "إذا تقاضى إليك رجلان فلا تسمع ما يقول الأول، حتى تسمع ما يقول الآخر، فإنك سوف ترى كيف تقضي"، قال علي: فما زلت بعدها قاضيا (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When two people come to you for judgment, do not decide after hearing the statement of the first until you have heard the statement of the second. Surely, you will soon see how judgment is to be made. Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: After this, I always judged in this manner.
