Hadith 24644
٢٤٦٤٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا هشيم عن (حنش) (١) بن الحارث عن علي ابن مدرك النخعي أن رجلا اشترى من رجل جارية فلم يجد لها أضراسا، فخاصمه إلى شريح، فقال شريح: بينتك أنه (باعكها) (٢) وليس لها أضراس، وإلا فيمينه (باللَّه) (٣) أنه (باعكها) (٤) ولها أضراس.
It is narrated from Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) by Ibn Mudrik al-Nakha'i that a man bought a slave girl from another, and she did not have a molar tooth. He took the dispute to Hazrat Shurayh (may Allah have mercy on him). Hazrat Shurayh said: Present witnesses to prove that he sold you the slave girl without a molar tooth; otherwise, he will swear an oath that he sold her to you and she had a molar tooth.
