Hadith 24610
٢٤٦١٠ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا عباد عن (حجاج) (١) عن القاسم ابن عبد الرحمن عن المغيرة بن سعد بن الأخرم عن أبيه أن رجلا أتى ابن مسعود (فقال) (٢): إني أعتقت أمتي هذه، واشترطت عليها أن (تلي مني ما تلي) (٣) الأمة ⦗٥٥٤⦘ من سيدها (إلا) (٤) الفرج -أو قال: غير الفرج- فلما غلظت رقبتها قالت: إني حرة، قال: ليس ذلك (لها) (٥) خذ برقبتها فانطلق بها، فلك ما اشترطت عليها (٦).
It is narrated from Hazrat Sa’d bin Al-Akhram that a man came to Hazrat Ibn Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) and said: I have freed my slave-girl, and I have set a condition upon her that she will serve me as a slave serves her master, except for sexual relations. Then, when I was strict with her in her servitude, she says that she is free. He (Ibn Mas’ud) said: She does not have the right to say this. Take her and make her fulfill the condition you have set upon her; it is necessary for her to fulfill it.
