Hadith 24484
٢٤٤٨٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن مسعر عن أبي حصين عن (أبي) (١) عبد الرحمن قال: لما أمر داود بالقضاء قطع به، فأوحى اللَّه إليه: (سلهم) (٢) البينة واستحلفهم.
It is narrated from Hazrat Abdur Rahman that when Hazrat Dawood (peace be upon him) was given the command of judgment, he became cut off from making a decision (i.e., he could not decide). Allah Almighty sent revelation to him: Ask those people for witnesses and make them swear an oath.
