Hadith 24285
٢٤٢٨٥ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع قال: حدثنا إسرائيل عن إبراهيم ابن عامر بن مسعود الجمحي عن معاوية بن عبد اللَّه بن جعفر أن رجلًا رهن دارًا إلى (أجل) (١)، فلما حل (الأجل) (٢)، قال المرتهن: داري، فقال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "لا (يغلق) (٣) الرهن" (٤).
It is narrated from Hazrat Muawiyah bin Abdullah bin Ja'far that a person mortgaged a house for a fixed period. When the time was completed, the mortgagee said, "This is my house." The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) said: The mortgage cannot be withheld.
