Hadith 24260
٢٤٢٦٠ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا أبو معاوية عن حجاج عن سعيد بن زيد (ابن) (١) عقبة عن أبيه عن سمرة قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "من ضاع له متاع أو سرق له متاع، فوجده في يد رجل فهو أحق به، ويرجع المشتري على البائع" (٢).
The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If a person's goods are lost or stolen, and then he finds his goods in someone else's possession, the owner has a greater right to them, and the buyer will refer to the seller for his loss.
