Hadith 24259
٢٤٢٥٩ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن علية عن يونس عن مطرف بن عتبة عن أبيه وكان صديقا لشريح، قال: قلت لشريح: آتي السوق فأشتري الثوب وأشترط (أني) (١) فيه بالخيار ثم أنطلق، فإن بعته أخذت الربح، وإلا رددته، قال: فلا تفعل.
Hazrat Utbah says that I said to Hazrat Shurayh (may Allah have mercy on him): I will go to the market and buy cloth, and I will stipulate a condition of option (khiyar al-shart) in it. Then I will come back and sell it; if there is profit, fine, otherwise I will return it. So how is it to do this? He replied: Do not do this.
