Hadith 2420
٢٤٢٠ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا سويد بن عمرو الكلبي قال: نا عبد العزيز ابن أبي سلمة قال: أنا الماجشون (عمي) (١) عن الأعرج عن عبيد اللَّه بن أبي رافع عن علي قال: كان النبي ﷺ إذا افتتح الصلاة كبر، ثم قال: "وَجهْتُ وَجْهِي للذِي فَطَرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ حنيفًا وَمَا أَنَا مِنَ المُشْرِكِينَ، إِنَّ صَلَاتِي وَنسُكي وَمَحْيَايَ وَمَمَاتي للَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمينَ لا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، وَبذَلِكَ أمِرْتُ، وَأنَا أوَّلُ المُسْلِمِين. اللَّهُمَّ ⦗١١⦘ أَنْتَ الملكُ لَا إلَهَ إلَا أْنتَ، (أنْتَ رَبِّي) (٢) وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي، وَاعتُرفْتُ بِذَنْبي فَاغْفِرْ لِي ذنُوبي جَميعًا إِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إلا أَنْتَ، وَاهْدِني لأَحْسْنِ الأَخْلاقِ (فَلَا يَهْدِي) (٣) لأَحْسَنها إلا أنْتَ، وَاصْرِفْ عَنِّي سَيِّئَهَا (فَلَا) (٤) يَصْرِفُ (عَنِّي) (٥) سِيِّئهَا إِلَّا أَنْتَ، لَبيْكَ وَسَعْدَيْكَ وَالخْيَرُ كُلُّهُ في يَدَيْكَ، أَنَا بِكَ وَإِلَيْكَ، تَبَارَكتَ وَتَعَالَيْتَ، أَسْتَغْفرُكَ وَأَتُوبُ إلَيْكَ" (٦).
Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would begin the prayer, after saying Allahu Akbar, he would recite these words: I have turned my face, being devoted exclusively, towards the One who created the heavens and the earth. And I am not among those who associate partners with Him. My prayer, my sacrifice, my life, and my death are for Allah, the Lord of all the worlds, who has no partner. I have been commanded to do this, and I am the first of those who submit. O Allah! You are the King, there is none worthy of worship except You, You are my Lord and I am Your servant. I have wronged myself and I confess my sins, so forgive all my sins, for surely none forgives sins except You. Guide me to the best of character, for none can guide to the best of character except You. Protect me from bad character, for none can protect me from bad character except You. I am present and I consider it an honor to be present in Your service. All goodness is in Your hands, You are my support and my refuge, You are blessed and exalted. I seek Your forgiveness and I repent to You.
