Hadith 24094
٢٤٠٩٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا علي بن مسهر عن الشيباني قال: أخبرنا سلمة بن كهيل قال: كنا جلوسًا عند شريح إذ أتاه قوم يختصمون إليه في عمرى جعلت لرجل (حياته) (١) فقال: هي له (حياته) (٢) و (موته) (٣)، فأقبل عليه الذي قضى (عليه) (٤) يناشده فقال شريح: لقد لامني هذا على أمر قضى به رسول اللَّه ﷺ (٥).
Hazrat Salamah bin Khail says that we were sitting in the company of Hazrat Shurayh when people came to him regarding an 'Umri' house which a person had dedicated for life. He said: He is its owner during his life and after his death as well. The one against whom the decision was made turned towards you, arguing and speaking harshly. Hazrat Shurayh said: This person has blamed me for a decision in which the Prophet (peace be upon him) has already given a verdict before me.
