Hadith 23682
٢٣٦٨٢ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا هشيم عن أبي (بلج) (١) الفزاري عن عباية ⦗٣٠٨⦘ ابن (رفاعة) (٢) بن (رافع) (٣) الأنصاري أن جده توفي وترك أمة (تُغِلُّ) (٤)، فذو ذلك للنبي ﷺ فكره كسب الأمة وقال: "لعلها (أن) (٥) لا تجد فتبغي بنفسها" (٦).
Hazrat Ubaiyah bin Rafa’ah narrates that his grandfather passed away and left behind a slave woman who used to earn money. This matter was mentioned to the Prophet ﷺ, so he ﷺ declared the earnings of the slave woman as disliked and said that perhaps she has no other way, that is why she does so.
