Hadith 23663
٢٣٦٦٣ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا حفص عن عبيد اللَّه عن نافع عن ابن عمر أنه كان يكره أن يقاطع مكاتبه على ذهب أو فضة، وقال: لا، إلا (بعرض) (١) (٢).
Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with both of them) disliked that a person should compel his mukatab to pay in gold and silver only. He said that doing so is not permissible; however, if goods are also included along with it, then it is permissible.
