الرجل يحلف على اليمين الفاجرةA Person Takes a False Oath
Hadith 23568
٢٣٥٦٨ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع قال: حدثنا الأعمش عن (شقيق) (١) عن عبد اللَّه قال: قال النبي ﷺ: (من حلف على يمين (صبر) (٢) ليقتطع بها مال امرئ مسلم (و) (٣) هو فيها فاجر، لقي اللَّه وهو عليه (غضبان)، قال: فدخل الأشعث ابن قيس فقال: ما يحدثكم أبو عبد الرحمن قلنا: كذا وكذا، قال: صدق! ⦗٢٧٣⦘ فيّ واللَّه نزلت، كان بيني وبين رجل من اليهود خصومة، فخاصمته إلى النبي ﷺ فقال: "ألك بينة؟ " قلت: لا، قال: "فلك يمينه"، (فقلت) (٤): إذن يحلف! فقال النبي ﷺ: "من حلف على يمين صبر" -فذكر مثل قول عبد اللَّه- فنزلت هذه الآية: ﴿إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَشْتَرُونَ بِعَهْدِ اللَّهِ وَأَيْمَانِهِمْ ثَمَنًا قَلِيلًا﴾ (٥).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever swears an oath in order to usurp the wealth of a Muslim, and he is lying in his oath, then he will appear before Allah in such a state that Allah will be angry with him. Hazrat Ash'ath bin Qais came and inquired, "What did Abu Abdur Rahman narrate before you?" We replied, "Such and such." He said, "He has spoken the truth. By Allah, a verse was revealed concerning me as well." There was a dispute between me and a Jew, and we brought our dispute before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He asked, "Do you have any witnesses?" I replied, "No." He said, "Then he will have to swear an oath." I said, "Then he will surely swear an oath." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever swears a false oath..." Then he mentioned the narration of Hazrat Abdullah. Then these verses were revealed: {إنَّ الَّذِینَ یَشْتَرُونَ بِعَہْدِ اللہِ وَأَیْمَانِہِمْ ثَمَنًا قَلِیلاً }.
