Hadith 2337
٢٣٣٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا معتمر بن سليمان عن أبيه قال: كانا نسأل أنسا هل على النساء أذان وإقامة؟ قال: لا، وإن فعلن فهو ذكر (١).
Sulaiman narrates that we used to ask Hazrat Anas whether the call to prayer (adhan) and the commencement (iqamah) are obligatory upon women. He would say that it is not obligatory, but if they do it, then for them it is like (performing) remembrance (dhikr).
