Hadith 23145
٢٣١٤٥ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا الضحاك بن مخلد عن ابن جريج عن عطاء (في) (١) رجل أعتق ثلث عبده في مرضه، قال: يقام (في) (٢) ثلثه، فإن كان أوصى بوصايا استسعي العبد.
Hazrat Ata (may Allah have mercy on him) says regarding the person who freed his one-third slave during his terminal illness: He said, it will be executed within one-third of the wealth, and if he had also made a bequest for it among other bequests, then the value will be sought from the slave.
