الرجل يعتق عبده في مرضهFreeing a Slave in Terminal Illness
Hadith 23143
٢٣١٤٣ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا (هشيم) (١) عن إسماعيل بن سالم عن الشعبي (قال) (٢): إذا أوصى الرجل بعتق مملوك له فهو من الثلث، فإن كان (أكثر) (٣) من الثلث يسعى فيما زاد.
Hazrat Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) says that if a person makes a bequest to free his slave, then that bequest will be executed from one-third of the wealth. If the value of the slave is more than one-third, then for the excess amount, the slave will strive to pay it.
