Hazrat Shurayh (may Allah have mercy on him) says that whoever gives a gift (hiba) due to maintaining ties of kinship, relationship, in a good manner, or because of someone’s right, then his gift (hiba) is permissible. And the side of "mustaghzir" either receives reward or gets his gift back. (Mustaghzir is a term, meaning: when two people are mutually giving gifts to each other, the one who receives the greater share is called the mustaghzir.)
