في اللقطة ما يصنع بها؟What to Do When Finding an Abandoned Item
Hadith 22995
٢٢٩٩٥ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن أبي زائدة عن محمد بن إسحاق عن (عمرو) (١) بن شعيب عن أبيه عن جده قال: سمعت رجلًا من مرينة يسأل النبي ﷺ فقال: ما نجد في السبيل العامرة من اللقطة؟ فقال: (عرفها حولًا، فإن جاء صاحبها وإلا فهي لك) (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Amr bin Shu'aib (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard a man from Muzaina ask the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "What should we do with something found lying on a populated (where there is frequent passage of people) road?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Announce it for one year; if its owner is found, that is good, but if not, then it is yours."
