في اللقطة ما يصنع بها؟What to Do When Finding an Abandoned Item
Hadith 22994
٢٢٩٩٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا شريك عن عامر بن شقيق عن أبي وائل قال: اشترى عبد اللَّه جارية بسبعمائة درهم، فغاب صاحبها فانشدها حولًا -أو قال: سنة- ثم خرج إلى المسجد فجعل يتصدق ويقول: اللهم فله، فإن أبي فعلي (١)، ثم قال: هكذا افعلوا باللقطة أو بالضالة (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Wa'il that Hazrat Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) bought a slave girl for seven hundred dirhams. The owner of the slave girl disappeared, so he announced about her for a year. Then he came to the mosque and gave her in charity and said: O Allah! This is for him; if he refuses, then it is for me. Then he said: Do the same with lost and found items.
