Hadith 22971
٢٢٩٧١ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا جرير عن منصور عن إبراهيم في (رجل) (١) دس إلى رجل دراهم (يشتريه) (٢) ويعتقه، قال: إن ظهر مولاه عليه قبل أن يعتقه فله ما أخذ من ثمنه ويأخذ عبده، وإن ظهر عليه بعد ما أعتقه الذي أخذه، أخذ من الذي اشتراه سوى ما (قد) (٣) (أخذ) (٤) فاعتق.
Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked about a slave who secretly gives dirhams to someone else so that he may buy him and set him free? He replied: If the master takes possession of the slave before the other person sets him free, then he will take both the slave and his price. And if he takes possession after the other person has set him free, then after the emancipation, whatever amount remains, he will take it from the purchaser as 'atiq (price for emancipation).
