Hadith 22880
٢٢٨٨٠ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا هشيم عن سيار عن الزبير بن عدي أن دهقانًا أسلم على عهد علي فقال له علي: إن أقمت في أرضك رفعنا الجرية عن ⦗٩٨⦘ رأسك وأخذناها من أرضك، وإن تحولت عنها فنحن أحق بها (١).
It is narrated from Hazrat Zubair bin Adi (may Allah have mercy on him) that during the caliphate of Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), a farmer accepted Islam. Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him: If you remain on your land, we will remove the jizya from you, and will take (kharaj) from your land, and if you turn away from it, then we are more entitled to this land.
