Hadith 22831
٢٢٨٣١ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا علي بن مسهر عن إسماعيل بن (سميع) (١) عن ماهان قال: (مر) (٢) ابن مسعود على رجل يزن دويرة قد أرجح فقال: (أقم) (٣) لسان الميزان، فإذا استقام فزده من مالك ما شئت (٤).
Hazrat Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) passed by a man who was weighing filings. The man asked him (may Allah be pleased with him): "Should I tilt the scale when weighing?" Hazrat Ibn Mas'ud replied: "Make the tongue of the scale even; when it becomes even, then add whatever you wish according to your desire."
