Hadith 22770
٢٢٧٧٠ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا حفص عن سعيد عن قتادة عن سعيد بن المسيب قال: أخطأ شريح وإن كان قاضيا، كان زيد بن ثابت يقول: (يبدأ) (١) بالدين قبل المكاتبة (٢).
Hazrat Saeed bin Al-Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him) says that although Hazrat Shurayh (may Allah have mercy on him) was a judge, he made a mistake. Hazrat Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say that the debt will be paid before the contract of Mukatabah.
