Hadith 22542
٢٢٥٤٢ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا مروان بن معاوية عن موسى بن عبيدة قال: أخبرني عطاء (١) مولى عمر بن عبد العزيز قال: ابتعت من برد مولى سعيد بن المسيب ناقةً بأربعة دنانير فجاء يلتمس حقه مني فقلت: عندي دراهم، ليس عندي ⦗١٩⦘ دنانير [فقال: حتى أستأمر سعيد بن المسيب (فاستأمره) (٢) فقال (٣): خذ منه دنانير] (٤) عينًا، فإن أبى فدعه، موعده اللَّه.
It is narrated from Hazrat Ata that I bought a she-camel from the slave of Hazrat Saeed bin Al-Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him) for four dinars. When he came to me to receive his due, I said to him, "I have dirhams, not dinars. You may take dinars from me." He said, "I will ask Saeed bin Al-Musayyib." Hazrat Saeed bin Al-Musayyib said: "Take only dinars from him, and if he refuses, then leave it, because Allah the Exalted has fixed a time for the fulfillment of promises."
