Hadith 22459
٢٢٤٥٩ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا أبو الأحوص عن أبي إسحاق عن الشعبي قال: ادعى رجل بغلا في يد رجل وأقام البينة أنه له، وأقام الذي هو في يده: البينة (أنه) (١) أنتجه، فقضى به شريح للذي هو في يده.
It is narrated from Hazrat Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) that a man claimed ownership of a mule that was in another person's possession and presented witnesses. Then the one in whose possession it was presented witnesses to the effect that the mule was born with him. Hazrat Shurayh (may Allah have mercy on him) decided the case in favor of the one in whose possession it was.
