Hadith 2244
٢٢٤٤ - حدثنا شريك عن (علي) (١) بن علي عن إبراهيم قال: شيعنا علقمة إلى مكة فخرجنا بليل فسمع مؤذنا يؤذن فقال: أما هذا فقد خالف سنة أصحاب محمد ﷺ لو (كان) (٢) نائمًا خيرًا له فإذا طلع الفجر أذَّن (٣).
Ibrahim narrates that we set out towards Makkah with Hazrat Alqamah. During the night, he heard a muezzin giving the adhan, so he said that he has opposed the companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him); if he had been asleep, it would have been better. Then, when the morning would dawn, he would give the adhan at that time.
