Hadith 22347
٢٢٣٤٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا عبد اللَّه بن نمير عن الأعمش قال: أمرني جار لي قصار، يقال له ثابت: (أسأل له) (١) إبراهيم عن رجل أعطى غلامًا له ثوبًا فضاع فسألته فقال: أليس يعلم أنه (غلامه) (٢) قلت: نعم، قال: هو ضامن.
Hazrat A'mash (may Allah have mercy on him) says that my neighbor Thabit, who was a dyer, said to me that I should ask Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) that if a person gave clothes to his slave and he lost them, then what is the ruling? I asked Ibrahim, and he (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Did he not know that he was his slave? I said: Yes. He (may Allah have mercy on him) said: He will be liable.
