٢١٦٩٨ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا جرير عن منصور قال: سألت إبراهيم عن رجل أعتق رجلًا فانطلق المعتق فوالى غيره، قال: ليس له ذلك إلا أن يهبه المعتق.
Hazrat Mansur says that I asked Ibrahim, if a person frees someone, can that person establish a wala’ (allegiance) relationship with someone else? He replied, no, he cannot do so; however, if the one who freed him gifts that wala’, then it is permissible.
