Hadith 20875
٢٠٨٧٥ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا هشيم عن يونس عن الحسن في رجل ضرب صيدًا فأبان منه يدا أو رجلا، وهو حي ثم مات، قال: يأكله ولا يأكل ما (أبان) (١) منه إلا أن يضربه فيقطعه فيموت من (ساعته) (٢)، فإذا إن ذلك فليأكله كله.
Hasan says that if a man shoots an arrow at a game animal and breaks its hand or foot while the animal is still alive, then it dies, he may eat it but should not eat the severed part. However, if he strikes so severely that the animal dies as soon as the limb is severed, then in that case he may eat all of it.
