Hadith 20868
٢٠٨٦٨ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا عيسى بن يونس عن الأعمش عن زيد بن وهب قال: سئل ابن مسعود عن رجل ضرب (رِجْلَ) (١) حمار (وحش) (٢) (فقطعها) (٣) فقال: دعوا ما سقط، وذكوا ما بقي فكلوه (٤).
Hazrat Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked: If someone strikes the leg of a wild donkey while hunting and cuts off its leg, what is the ruling? Hazrat Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: Discard the part that has been cut off, and slaughter the remaining animal and eat it.
