Hadith 20683
٢٠٦٨٣ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن أبي إسحاق عن (عبيد) (١) بن الأعجم ⦗١١٨⦘ قال: سألت ابن عباس (عن) (٢) الجعائل (قال) (٣): إن جعلتها في سلاح أو كراع في سبيل اللَّه فلا بأس.
Hazrat Ubaidullah bin Ajjam (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I asked Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) about the spoils of war. He replied that if you spend this wealth on any weapon or horse, then there is no harm in it, but if you spend it on a slave or a bondwoman, then it is not appropriate.
