Hadith 20671
٢٠٦٧١ - حدثنا عبد الرحيم عن أشعث عن ابن سيرين قال: كانوا يقولون: القتال في سبيل اللَّه خير من الجلوس، والجلوس خير من القتال على الضلال، ومن ⦗١١١⦘ (رابه) (١) شيء (فليتعده) (٢) إلى ما لا يريبه.
Hazrat Ibn Sirin (may Allah have mercy on him) said that the predecessors used to say that fighting in the way of Allah is better than sitting at home, and sitting at home is better than fighting in the way of misguidance. If a person has doubt about something, he should rise above the doubt and choose the matter.
