Hadith 20646
٢٠٦٤٦ - حدثنا زيد بن (حباب) (١) أخبرني موسى بن (عبيدة) (٢) قال: أخبرني محمد بن أبي (منصور) (٣) عن (السمط) (٤) بن عبد اللَّه ((عن) (٥) سلمان) (٦) أنه كان في جند من المسلمين، (فأصابهم) (٧) حصر وضر، فقال (سلمان) (٨) لأمير الجند: ألا أخبرك بما سمعت (من) (٩) رسول اللَّه ﷺ (يكون) (١٠) عونًا لك على هذا (الجند) (١١)؟ سمعت رسول اللَّه ﷺ يقول: "من رابط يوما أو ليلة في سبيل اللَّه كان عدل صيام شهر وصلاته الذي لا يفطر ولا ينصرف إلا لحاجة، ومن مات مرابطا في سبيل اللَّه أجري له أجره حتى يقضي اللَّه بين أهل الجنة والنار" (١٢).
Hazrat Simt bin Abdullah narrates that Hazrat Salman (may Allah be pleased with him) was with a Muslim army. When the Muslims faced a siege and hardship, Hazrat Salman (may Allah be pleased with him) said to the commander of the army, "I will tell you a saying of the Prophet ﷺ which will be a means of help for you in this matter of the army." I heard the Prophet ﷺ say: "Whoever spends a day or a night in the path of Allah for the purpose of jihad, it is for him equal to a month in which he fasts continuously and prays continuously. Whoever is martyred while striving in the path of Allah, he will continue to receive the reward of that martyrdom until Allah Almighty completes giving the recompense to the people of Paradise and the people of Hell."
