Hadith 20605
٢٠٦٠٥ - حدثنا عيسى بن يونس عن هشام بن (الغاز) (١) عن مكحول عن سلمان قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "رباط يوم في سبيل اللَّه خير من صيام شهر وقيامه، ومن مات مرابطًا أجير من فتنة القبر، وجرى عليه صالح عمله إلى يوم القيامة" (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Salman (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Spending one day in preparation for jihad in the way of Allah is better than fasting for a month and worshipping for a month. Whoever passes away while preparing for jihad will be saved from the torment of the grave, and the reward for his good deeds will continue until the Day of Resurrection.
