Hadith 20576
٢٠٥٧٦ - حدثنا عبيد اللَّه بن موسى أنا شيبان (عن فراس) (١) عن عطية عن أبي ⦗٦٣⦘ (سعيد) (٢) عن نبي اللَّه ﷺ (٣) قال: "المجاهد في سبيل اللَّه مضمون على اللَّه (إما) (٤) أن (يكفته) (٥) إلى مغفرته ورحمته، وإما أن يرجعه بأجر وغنيمة، ومثل المجاهد في سبيل اللَّه كمثل الصائم (٦) القائم لا (يفتر) (٧) حتى يرجع" (٨).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Regarding the one who strives in the path of Allah, Allah Almighty has taken it upon Himself that either He will grant him His forgiveness and mercy, or he will return with reward and spoils of war. The example of the one who strives in the path of Allah is like that of a person who fasts during the day and stands in prayer at night, and does not show any laziness in these deeds.
