في الرجل (يكون) له المرأة أو الجارية فيشك في ولدها، ما يصنع؟If a Man Doubts the Paternity of His Wife’s or Slave’s Child—What Should He Do?
Hadith 18410
١٨٤١٠ - حدثنا الضحاك بن مخلد عن عثمان بن الأسور عن عطاء في الرجل يشك في ولده (قال: مره) (١) (فليستلحقه) (٢) (وإن) (٣) (عمر) (٤) بن الخطاب قال: من أقر أنه أصاب وليدة أو غشي الحقنا به ولدها (٥).
Hazrat Usman bin Aswad (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that a man doubted the lineage of his child, so Hazrat Ata (may Allah have mercy on him) said to him that he should be instructed to consider the child as his own. Because Hazrat Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) has said regarding this matter that whoever admits to having had intercourse with a slave woman, we will attribute the child to him. Then I asked Hazrat Ikrimah bin Khalid (may Allah have mercy on him) about this matter, and he also said that he should be instructed to consider the child as his own.
