Hadith 18367
١٨٣٦٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا سفيان بن عيينة عن (عبيد) (١) اللَّه بن أبي يزيد أنه سأل (٢) ابن عباس عن رجل (اشترى) (٣) جارية وهي حامل أيطأها؟ قال: لا! وقرأ: ﴿وَأُولَاتُ الْأَحْمَالِ أَجَلُهُنَّ أَنْ يَضَعْنَ حَمْلَهُنَّ﴾ [الطلاق: ٤] (٤).
Hazrat Ubaidullah bin Abi Ziyad (may Allah have mercy on him) asked Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that if a man buys a slave woman and she is pregnant, can he have intercourse with her? He replied, "No." Then he recited the verse of the Holy Qur'an: "The waiting period of pregnant women is that they give birth to their child."
