Hadith 18343
١٨٣٤٣ - حدثنا يزيد قال: (حدثنا) (١) (هشام) (٢) عن محمد بن سيرين أن رجلًا تزوج (ابنة) (٣) (عبدٍ) (٤) خياط فولدت عنده غلامًا فانتفى منه فقال له شريح (٥): الذي دلك على أن تزوج بنت عبد خياط وأنت رجل من العرب في شرف من العطاء؟ و (هو) (٦) الذي دعاك إلى أن تنتفي منه.
Hazrat Muhammad bin Sirin (may Allah have mercy on him) says that a man married the daughter of a slave tailor. A boy was born to them, but the man refused to acknowledge the child as his own. Hazrat Shurayh (may Allah have mercy on him) said to him, "The same thing that compelled you to marry the daughter of a slave tailor, even though you are a respected man of the Arabs, is what has now prompted you to refuse to acknowledge the child as your son." (That is, Satan has put doubts in your heart.)
