Hadith 17980
١٧٩٨٠ - حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن مسلم عن مسروق قال: قال عبد اللَّه: واللَّه (لمن) (١) شاء (لقاسمته) (٢) لنزلت سورة النساء القصرى بعد: ﴿أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ وَعَشْرًا﴾ [البقرة: ٢٣٤] (٣).
Hazrat Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that if someone wishes, I can swear an oath and say that the small Surah an-Nisa (Surah at-Talaq) (in which the waiting period for childbirth is mentioned) was revealed after the verse { أَرْبَعَۃ أَشْھُر وَّعَشْرًا } of the Holy Qur'an.
