Hadith 17916
١٧٩١٦ - حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن (سعد) (١) بن عبيدة عن أبي عبد الرحمن عن علي قال: قلت: يا رسول اللَّه مالك (تنوق) (٢) في قريش وتدعنا قال: "عندكم شيء؟ " قلت: نعم! بنت حمزة فقال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "إنها لا تحل لي، إنها بنت أخي من الرضاعة" (٣).
Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I asked, "O Messenger of Allah! What is the reason that you show inclination to marry among the Quraysh and leave us aside?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "Do you have any such woman (to propose)?" I said, "Yes, there is the daughter of Hazrat Hamza (may Allah be pleased with him)." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "She is not lawful for me, because she is my foster niece."
