Hadith 17546
١٧٥٤٦ - حدثنا يزيد بن هارون عن حبيب عن عمرو بن هانئ قال: سئل جابر ابن زيد عن امرأة غاب زوجها عنها زمانا لا تعلم له بموت ولا حياة قال: تربص حتى تعلم: حي هو (أم) (١) (ميت) (٢).
Hazrat Amr bin Hani narrates that Hazrat Jabir bin Zaid was asked: If a woman's husband has been absent for a long time and it is not known whether he is alive or dead, what is the ruling? He replied that the woman should wait until it becomes known whether he is alive or dead.
