Hadith 17525
١٧٥٢٥ - حدثنا عبدة عن سعيد عن قتادة عن الحسن عن الأحنف أن عمر وعليًا قالا: إذا أغلق بابًا (أو) (١) أرخى سترًا فلها الصداق (وعليها) (٢) العدة (٣).
Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) and Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) say that when the door is closed and the curtain is drawn for privacy, then the dowry becomes obligatory. And the woman will also be required to observe the waiting period (iddah).
