Hadith 1742
١٧٤٢ - حدثنا ابن علية عن سلمة (١) بن علقمة عن ابن سيرين قال: سألت عبيدة عن قوله تعالى: ﴿أَوْ لَامَسْتُمُ النِّسَاءَ﴾ [النساء: ٤٣] وقال بيده (فظننت) (٢) ما عنى، فلم (أسأله) (٣): (قال) (٤): ونبئت أن ابن عمر كان إذا مس فرجه توضأ، قال ⦗٣٥٠⦘ (محمد) (٥): فظننت أن قول ابن عمر، وقول عبيدة شيء واحد (٦).
Hazrat Ibn Sirin says that I asked Hazrat Ubaidah about the saying of Allah Almighty { أَوْ لاَمَسْتُمُ النِّسَائَ }, so he gestured with his hand, and I understood what he wanted to say, so I did not ask him further. He said that I have been informed that Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to perform ablution when he touched the private part. Muhammad says that I think the statement of Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) and Hazrat Ubaidah is the same.
