Hadith 1741
١٧٤١ - حدثنا ابن علية عن عبد اللَّه بن أبي بكر قال: سمعت عروة بن الزبير يحدث أبي قال: (ذاكرني) (١) (مروان) (٢) مس الذكر فقلت: ليس فيه وضوء قال: فإن بسرة ابنة صفوان تحدث فيه فبعث إليها رسولًا، فذكر أنها حدثت أن رسول اللَّه ﷺ قال: "من مس ذكره فليتوضأ" (٣).
Hazrat Urwah bin Zubair narrates that my father related to me that Marwan discussed with me the issue of touching the private part. I said that there is no (need for) ablution in this matter. He said that Busrah bint Safwan has narrated a hadith about this. Then he sent a messenger to Busrah, who came back and reported that she states that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever touches his private part with his hand should perform ablution.
