Hadith 17
١٧ - حدثنا خلف بن خليفة عن ليث عن حسين بن عمارة عن (بكر) (١) قال: إذا توضا العبد فذكر اسم اللَّه (حين يأخذ في وضوئه طهر جسده كله، وإذا توضأ ولم يذكر اسم اللَّه) (٢)، لم يطهر إلا ما أصابه الماء.
Hazrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) says that when a person recites «بسم الله» while performing ablution, his entire body becomes purified, and if he does not recite «بسم الله», then only that part becomes purified where the water of ablution reaches.
