Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would stop in the valley of Namirah. Then, when Hajjaj bin Yusuf martyred Hazrat Ibn Zubair, he sent a message to me asking, "At what time would the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) set out on this day?" You replied, "When that time comes, we will set out." Hajjaj sent a person to inform him when you set out. When Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) intended to go, the people said, "The sun has not yet begun to decline." So you sat down. After a little while, you again intended to go, but the people again said, "The sun has not yet declined." You sat down again. Then, when the people said, "The sun has declined," you set out.
