Hadith 15536
١٥٥٣٦ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن يونس (بن) (١) أبي إسحاق قال: (سمعت) (٢) (شيخًا) (٣) يحدث أبا إسحاق عن محمد بن كعب القرظي قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "إني أريد أن (أجدد) (٤) في صدور المؤمنين، أي صبي حج به أهله ثم مات أجزأ عنه، [(فإن) (٥) أدرك فعليه الحج، وأيما مملوك حج به أهله ثم مات أجزأ عنه] (٦) وإن أعتق فعليه الحج" (٧).
It is narrated from Hazrat Muhammad bin Ka'b al-Qurazi that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I wish to renew and revive this command in the hearts of the believers: If a child’s family performs Hajj with him and then the child passes away, that Hajj will suffice for him. But if he grows up, then Hajj is obligatory upon him. And if a slave performs Hajj with his family and then passes away, that Hajj will suffice for him, but if he is freed, then Hajj becomes obligatory upon him.
