Hadith 15401
١٥٤٠١ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا أبو معاوية عن (عاصم) (١) عن (عبد اللَّه) (٢) ابن (سرجس) (٣) قال: رأيت الأصلع عمر قبّل الحجر وقال: إني لأعلم أنك حجر لا تضر ولا تنفع، ولولا إني رأيت رسول اللَّه ﷺ يقبلك ما قبلتك (٤).
Hazrat Abdullah bin Sarjis narrates that I saw Umar in the heat of the sun kissing the Black Stone, and he said: "I know that you are merely a stone, which can neither benefit nor harm. If I had not seen the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) kissing you, I would not have kissed you either."
