Hadith 1530
١٥٣٠ - حدثنا ابن علية عن داود عن ابن المسيب قال: أنزل اللَّه الماء طهورا، فلا ينجسه شيء، (وربما قال: لا ينجسه شيء) (١)، قال داود: وذلك أننا سألناه عن الغدران، والحياض تلغ فيها الكلاب.
Hazrat Ibn al-Musayyib said that Allah Almighty has sent down water as a purifier; nothing makes it impure. Dawood says that Hazrat Saeed said this because we had asked him about those ponds and reservoirs into which dogs put their mouths.
