Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Umar says that when we were young, we came with Hazrat Hafs bin Asim and caught a young pigeon in our house and started playing with it until it died. Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), daughter of Muti’ bin Al-Aswad, said to them, and they said that a goat should be slaughtered. So a goat was slaughtered and given in charity.
